OUTSIDE OF ME IS YOU deals with colliding perceptions of inside and outside and narrates the personal and private observations of the performer in real-time. The performer doesn’t only observe, but shares impressions, comments, describes, creates phantasies, fabricates stories, mixing unreal with real. The performer establishes an intimate connection with the visitors of the Simultanhalle through monologues, which can be chosen to be followed or not. The connections are however the result of a one-sided communication, balancing at the very verge of public and private, manipulative and speculative. The three-hour long performance aims to establish a co-existance with the visitors of the Simultanhalle and simultaneously research the limits of privacy, imagination, body / non-body contact, nearness and intimacy through language. The mobile sculpture of / P O K Y serves not only as a stage / off stage but also as a metaphoric home for the performer´s inbetween states of inside-outside.
