Since its founding in 1990, the Förderverein Simultanhalle Köln-Volkhoven e.V. has been a non-profit art association whose primary tasks include exhibitions, mediation and cooperation. The association is actively committed to preserving the Simultanhalle as a building and is in dialogue with municipal actors to this end.

As part of civil society, the Förderverein Simultanhalle Köln-Volkhoven e.V. sees itself as a lively place of exchange for everyone. It opposes all forms of exclusion, discrimination, sexism and racism and promotes exhibitions by young artists and curators.

The Förderverein Simultanhalle Köln-Volkhoven e.V. is a member of the ADKV – Arbeitsgemeinschaft deutscher Kunstvereine (Working Group of German Art Associations) and AIC – Kunstinitiativen Köln (Art Initiatives Cologne).
